The challenge
Someone who already sells through Vinted, Marktplaats or Instagram at some point wants a real webshop: under their own name, in their own style, without getting stuck on technology. For the platform that means many webshops side by side on one system, where no shop owner may ever see anything of another, while every shop still has its own domain, look and settings.
Case
The solution
- A separate environment per webshop. Every shop has its own database, its own file storage and its own search index. A shop starts on a subdomain and can connect its own domain name, which is verified through DNS and gets a certificate automatically.
- Everything needed to sell. Products with variants, digital downloads and personalised products, stock management, discount codes, shipping profiles, PDF invoices and returns.
- Payments and shipping. Online payments through MultiSafepay and a connection to a shipping platform.
- Integrations. Accounting (Moneybird and e-Boekhouden), email marketing (Mailchimp, Klaviyo, Brevo and MailerLite), Google Analytics 4 and Meta Pixel after cookie consent, WebwinkelKeur reviews and a Google Shopping feed.
- Own content and look. Pages built from blocks, a blog, two templates and the shop's own colours and logo, in Dutch and English.
- Plans. Starter, Pro and Business decide per shop how many products and which features are available.

Project Overview
Je Eigen Webshop is a Dutch webshop platform: business owners use it to start their own webshop without technical skills, on their own domain and in their own branding. I came up with the platform, co-own it and develop it myself; the website jeeigenwebshop.nl I built from a design.
Every webshop is fully separate from the others, with its own database, its own files and its own search index. Three plans (Starter, Pro and Business) decide what a shop owner can use, and new customers try it free for 10 days.
